My son is making plans to install his several telescopes at the point where
totality has almost the longest total eclipse path (near Sun Valley, Idaho.) He
does not have a ham license, but he is a Professional Electrical Engineer with
a lot of experience in setting up instrumentation and has significant computer
skills.

If locating WISPR devices at his location is of interest I will discuss it with
him. He is here in MN now, but leaves soon for his second trip to Idaho to find
where he wants to locate his equipment and make arrangements with the land
owner.

I also have a contact with the leading amateur astronomer in Idaho Falls, ID .
The path of totality goes very close to my station there. Even if I were not
there at the time of the eclipse, I believe we could work with local hams to
place devices in the open area which is part of my land. The amateur astronomer
works at the Idaho National Laboratory and has responsibility for
Instrumentation as part of his management. He also is planning to set up scopes
in the path of totality.

I am pretty sure that if there was interest in getting devices located and
operating in the total eclipse path it could be done.
