CW is alive and well on 160m!
This week 48 JA made it into the log, many of which are unique callsigns never
worked before. This morning Kevin VK6LW was louder than I have ever heard him,
and Luke VK3HJ was copiable 45 min after SR. Many JAs were a true 599.
Since Aug 15, 52 JA, 32 VK, 9 VK6, 3 DU and 7 HL QSOs have been logged on CW.
I suspect that part of the increase in CW callers is because many are lurking
and waiting for the C21, but I am very happy to see so much CW activity from JA
and VK.
A few weeks ago I did manage QSOs with PE5T, PA3FQA and DF2PY, so the polar
path is opening up, but lately the QRN has been horrible in the evenings.
The art of CW has not been lost on 160m!
