Ray,
If static discharge is really all you're after, then a high value resistor is
all you need. Until I changed my feed method to something that was a DC short
on my 160 inverted-L, I used a 10K 10W wirewound resistor.

Here in Arizona, we are in our monsoon season, lots of thunder, lightning

phased 80m verticals feed point. I have a small 4" X 4" weatherproof box
at the base with a K9YC CMC enclosed and wondering if the inductors are
adequate. They are 3 1/2" long, 3/4" diameter, 20ga enamel copper wire,
with an estimated 93 turns. I have used several inductor calculators, they
say between 32 and 34 uH.
Is these adequate for use as a static discharge coil that will not affect
the vertical antenna loading or performance?
Thanks for your input.
