Two KT-34A's do not EXACTLY and KT-34XA make. The contents of an XA upgrade
kit are, approximately:

about 16 feet of boom
one additional tri-resonant element
one ten-meter element w/ no traps
truss assemby

You could make something close with two A's; using a tri-resosnant element
instead of the non-trapped 10 meter element at the D2 position. Howie,
K4PQL did this before it blew down in the hurricane. 

You'd have to make up a truss of some kind.

Try KE2NL; he's had an XA on the YCCC cluster for months at $225 P/U...
