Actually, you can measure the resistance with ordinary test equipment.
Connect a low-voltage power supply to pass about 1 amp through the joint =
to be
tested (use a resistor to limit the current to 1 amp).  Measure the =
voltage
drop across the joint and a quick Ohm's law calculation will give you the
resistance.  For example, if the current is 1 amp and the measured =
voltage is
.01 volts, the resistance is .01 ohms.  Works like a charm. =20
