     Thanks again to all who helped me with pictures.  
     
     I proposed a very "neighbor friendly" installation with a retractable 
     tubular mast and small tribander, retracted when not in use, totally 
     screened by the house and vegetation when down, and still partially 
     screened even when up.  I expected them to make a counterproposal like 
     "leave it down except at night", but they didn't.  They said "if we 
     grant one exception (the CC&R's say NO antennas of any kind) we won't 
     be able to enforcce any of the restrictions".
     
     I am working with the ARRL volunteer council and some other advisors 
     do decide what to do next.  I will NOT just let the matter drop.
