Hello Everyone!

In the not too distant future I will be ready to unveil my "rather unusual"
tower project. I'm in the process of putting together a web site with lots of
fotos that will hopefully explain the project in detail. Basically it will be
a tower 100 to 110 feet high with a ham shack at 40 feet and an "807"
observation deck at 80' !!! The base (the hard part) was completed last
Summer and now I'm ready (if we don't have any blizzards--I'm near Reading,
PA hihi) to resume construction! Picture a miniature Eiffel Tower with SIX
legs ! Well I'm looking forward to all your suggestions on a myriad of
topics concerning this project! There will also be a 50' tower (conventional
freestanding) located at a yet to be determined distance from the "Tour de
Scottay"

At this juncture I sure would appreciate any comments on the following two
topics:
     1) Does anyone have any experience with Tennedyne's 10 el. log periodic?
I got one and think it will be ONE of the antennas on this project.

     2) Also an 80'-90' Universal Towers Heavy Duty Aluminum tower is planned
to be an integral part of the project. Any comments? One thing I'm anxious
to learn (factory hasn't been real helpful) is the actual dimensions of the
B-30 straight section. Can anyone tell me the "actual" dimension of one of
the faces of the section. Is it 30" or 29" or 31.5",etc.? I requested a
cross section drawing of section but to no avail. What I'm trying to ask is :
If u took 3 yard sticks and placed each of them FLAT on each of the three
faces of the tower , what would the dimensions of the enclosing triangle
actually be?

Well thanks in advance and I look forward to all your input as I proceed.
                     Scotty K3FXB
