You should be fine with straight steel guy wires, not broken up by 
insulators at all, if you're just putting yagis at the top of the tower.  
See K4VX's article in QST (I think it was) a couple years ago.  Also, 
anecdotally, I had a TH6 on 100' of Rohn 25, guyed with steel, no 
insulators, and it worked great.
