As we found out at NB6G (now K6RY), bird poop should also be added to the
list of offending compounds that cause a these insulators to fail.

The GE book lists these chemicals
to avoid:
Amines, Aromatic Hydrocarbons, strong alkaline detergents, Esters,
Halogenated Hydrocarbons, Ketones.
Also avoid the following combination: High stress, Hot water, High
temperature (140-160 deg F).
It is really amazing to see the effects of these chemicals on a sample
part. Extreme crazing and cracking in a matter of seconds!
