Hi Jeff, I operated a 15 meter monobander at 30 ft. for a number of years, and was very pleased with the results. I also had a tribander on a roof top tripod when I was a kid in the early 60s. It too was a big improvement over my dioples, but that would be expected as the dipoles were at the same height (about 25').
