Hi all -

I am becoming particularly concerned about the rust which has appeared
on the six bolts that hold my tower to its concrete pad. The bolts
extend approximately 3 inches up before going through the nut-base-nut
arrangement of the self-supporting tower. I know that the rust will
eventually eat away the bolts and the entire pad will become useless.

Obviously, I should wirebrush what I can, apply a rust inhibitor and
galvanizing spray to the exposed part of the bolts, but I have a couple
of questions before I do this.

First of all, assuming I am correct in my corrective plan, will this
application prevent me from being able to adjust the level of the tower
in the future by somehow destroying the bolt threads?

Secondly, even if I treat the exposed threads, the section of bolt that
goes through the tower base is not exposed, so it will NOT receive
treatment and will continue to rust anyway. How can I stop this from
continuing?

The tower is a US Tower HDX572MDPL. Any help would be most appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
