I can't disagree more. I optimized my 5 element 20M yagi for F/B and
SWR. The difference between it and a 204BA stack on TX is nil. On RX,
the difference is night and day. I can turn an unusuable frequency in to
a runnable frequency with this antenna as compared to the stack of
204BA's. What did I lose by optimizing for F/B and bandwidth? A few
10ths of a DB in gain. So what? You cant hear a few 10ths of a DB.

Now, in regards to the TH7 vs KT34XA. Gee... I dont know. Both are good
antennas. KT34XA has more gain and more potential pain. Personally I
like to put up an antenna and not think about it any more. I've never
heard of anyone taking apart a TH7 and putting it back together again 3
times because it wouldn't work right. I've heard this story twice in
regards to a KT34XA.
