The hemisphere of influence for ground rods is approximately twice its
length. These hemispheres should not overlap for maximum benefit. A ten foot
ground rod has a hemisphere diameter of 20 feet, or a ten foot radius. So
these 10 foot radii make the spacing between rods a distance of 20 feet (10'
radius + 10' radius).

I would also recommend putting multiple rods in the system. Grounding
your tower is ONE part of the overall ground system.
