I'm having a hinged base plate welded to my 40 foot tower I acquired a
while ago but never got up. It is tubular (1.5 inch piping) and it will
hold a TA33 and perhaps a 10 ele 2m. I need to devise a winch and pulley
system to tilt over and back up. How big of a winch should I use (1000
lbs?), how and where to connect it and where to install a pulley? I'm also
thinking of setting a 10 feet 4X4 in concrete behind the tower and
attaching a pulley up top. And how deep and wide should I make to base for
concrete? I'm thinking 3 or 4 cubic feet. Any ideas? I know its a simple
project, but for once I'd like to do it correctly the first time. Thanks
for any help.
