I recently put up a US Tower HDX-572MDPL tower. This is their heavy-duty
72-foot crank-up with motorized winch and upper and lower limit switches.

Due to various delays (and procrastinations), the tower lay on the ground
for a year-and-a-half before I finally put it up a few weeks ago. Upon
firing up the winch, I found that one of the limit switches was defective.
The weatherproof seal protecting the internal switch contacts was defective
and during the time the tower was on the ground the switch had corroded
"open."

When I telephoned US Tower, I spoke with an engineer, an electrician and a
gentleman named Bruce who told me to go ahead and send him the bad switch.
Well, Bruce turned out to be Bruce Kopitar, President of US Tower, and
despite the switch being long out of warranty through no fault of theirs,
it was quickly replaced at no charge.

While a switch may seem like a pretty insignificant part of an overall
tower assembly, US Tower doesn't scrimp on any aspect of their towers and
those heavy duty limit switches aren't cheap! Not only does US Tower build
extremely high-quality products, they are obviously committed to supporting
those products and their customers.

I am very pleased to be one of those customers.

73, Dick
