My hit occurred just as the guys were standing in the doorway watching the
purple wall come across the field from the west... they say the entire radio
bench lit up like an arc welder... certainly, anyone sitting there clutching
radio stuff would have suffered... taking chances near a thunderstorm is
playing the odds, with over a thousand people a year paying the ultimate
price for those bad decisions....
