>I had to cut down a smallish pine in order to put up my HyTower in my back
>yard. I appologized to it and to all the other trees in the area.
>However, I think they got mad:
>1. Ant was up 6 mos and a perfectly sound pine fell over the 160meter
>wire attachment and pulled the HyTower down to the ground.
>I re-installed the ant.
>2. Another six months or so, a bigger and sounder pine that I had guyed
>the HyTower to fell over and pulled the ant down again.
>Looking at the trees that fell, and cutting them up, I could find no rot,
>not other reason for falling and all of the many others close around were
>still in fine shape. Re-installed again!
>I think the trees got angry and have "fixed" my antenna twice. Will I
>give up if a third happening? Stay tuned. K4VUD
