There have been several companies through the years that made 25G look alike
towers. The most recent I am aware of is Consolidated Tower in Birmingham,
Alabama, not too far from Rohns' plant there. They closed around 1980 or so
when Rohn bought them out. The Consolidated towers were available in 16 and
18 guage steel, galvanized or painted finish and would mate with 20G and 25G
sections.

When I first started Texas Towers in my garage at home in 1978, Rohn would
not sell to me but Consolidated sure did and we sold their towers for a year
or two. Many of those towers are still up and in use here in the Dallas area.

I can't believe that was almost 20 years ago! The time has flown while having
all that fun!
