Bill,

I have seen both antennas.  There is no comparison in terms of quality and
mechanical design.  BB3 uses finger stock that can break and they use a
plastic pipe (pvc) for a coil form.  High Sierra uses a custom made
decoupler that is a high quality spring specially wound (laid over) and
their coil form is a custom made composite that can really handle the
power.  High Sierra stopped using plastic pipe years ago.  Take a look at
their web site hsantennas.com/info.  There really is a big difference for
about the same price!
