There is a company in Wisconsin called Harken that has "blocks"
in various sizes. They are fabricated from stainless and a high
density polymer like 'cryolac' with nylon ball-bearings. I use
small sizes for holding the ends of loops and dipoles. They
perform well in winter and in summer here in Minnesota. Mine
have been in place for over 5 years with no indication of a
problem. I believe their primary market is sailing boats. I don't
have the URL anymore ( I have their catalog), but I found them on
the Web.
