One of our club members sent this query around. Can anyone help identify
this beam?

>This antenna is a 3-element trap yagi; presumably a tribander. I'm trying
to
>figure out the antenna's manufacturer, and then get a copy of the
>manufacturer's instructions.
>
>The seller said the antenna is Moseley TA-33. The mystery beam does
>superficially resemble a TA-33--the driven element is insulated from the
boom,
>each half-element has just one trap and the driven element is fed through a
>balun.
>
>But, unlike a TA-33 the mystery beam does not mount the driven element on
>insulated stand-offs. Instead, the butt ends of the two driven element
halves
>have thick black plastic boots on them and the boots then are inserted into
an
>element-to-boom clamp. The driven element-to-boom clamp has a curious mark
>stamped into the metal--the mark looks like a squared off "G" or perhaps
the
>numeral "6."
>
>The mystery beam has a 2-inch diameter boom which totals 14 ft. 5 in. long.
The
>boom can be disassembled into three pieces. Both ends of the center piece
are
>swaged; the end pieces slide over the center piece and are secured with
clamps.
>The director end of the boom has a red plastic cap; the cap at the
reflector
>end of the boom is black.
>
>Each half-element is made up of three pieces of aluminum tubing, plus the
trap,
>each of which is secured to the next piece by an aluminum clamp. The clamps
use
>a machine screw and nut to draw the clamp up tightly. The traps each are 13
>inches long and have black plastic caps on each end.
>
>The traps and clamps look suspiciously like some on an old HyGain 14AVQ
trap
>vertical sitting in my junk pile. Perhaps the mystery beam has a HyGain
>connection somewhere in its past.

Any help would be appreciated.
