of using a force-12 C3S on top of a 40' crankup tower. We experienced a
severe thunder storm with winds around 50miles per hour. This storm caused
the tower to start to buckle at its pivot point. The antenna survived the
wind superbly, the only thing is when the tower fell the sudden stop sent
elements everywhere. The moral of the story is its not the wind that gets
you, its the sudden stop.
