Hello group,

Just out of curiosity, has anyone tried using pure lanolin on their
turnbuckles? This is the goop of choice for sailboat rigging turnbuckles.
Lubricates the threads and keeps the SS from galling, keeps water out thus
preventing freeze damage and it doesn't stain your clothing when you
invariably get it on you.

I know from personal experience that one drop of Anti-Seize can spread to
cover your entire body in no time, hi.
