Hi Paul,

I don't understand why there is a minimum diameter Paul.

A number 16 wire has more bandwidth than a number 20, and a number 8 more
than a number 16.

A six inch diameter cage will be broader than a number 00 wire, but not as
wide as a 15" cage.

I would expect a six inch cage to be much broader than a #14 wire dipole,
even if not as wide as a 15" cage.

None of these antennas would have more gain than the other.

An expanded end cone shape would be much broader in bandwidth than any
uniform cross section cage, for the same average diameter, but all would
effectively increase bandwidth.
