Hi Paul:
I'm not sure the G5RV needs a balun at the end of the ladder line.
Isn't that the antenna where the ladder line acts as a "matching
section" with a very specific length before going over to coax
for the run to the shack?
If you were simply building a "regular" dipole, then to go from ladder
line to the roughly 50-70 ohm impedance of a dipole a 4:1 balun will
work OK.
