A GAP Challenger is the only antenna I've used since getting back on the
air 13 months ago. I am very favorably impressed with it. Gets out great
on 40m and 20m, OK on 10m, and so-so on 80m and 15m. In fact, worked
E31AA on 20 CW yesterday, second call. Had a little trouble getting it
to resonate on 40m (it was resonant below the band) with the 25'
counterpoise wires. Had to shorten them to 19' each. I would suggest
guying the Challenger about 2/3 the way up with double braided dacron.
You'll sleep easier.
