This has been discussed many times. Check the TowerTalk archives at
www.contesting.co. Seven to ten feet seems to be reasonable.

Compared to what? A stack or C31XR's? For tribander comparisons, our on-
the-air report is available from www.championradio.com. It all depends on what
you want to do and what you are able to do.

You need to check out the Effective Moment which reflects the total
antenna handling capability of a rotator. Again, check the TowerTalk archives.

Then many of your questions will be answered by the resources I've
mentioned.
