Hi Dan. Had that trouble with a Ham-M rotor a long time ago. Its problem
was with the leaf spring on top of the rotor pot not engaging the bell
housing properly. Pulled up on the spring and made sure it properly
engaged the indent in the housing. It solved the large erratic movement,
but did not solve the minor fluctuations. There may be difficulty in
varying line voltage due to a problem component in the control unit. You
may want to contact Telex for their opinion.
