While discussing antennas with K4TMC (former WB4HFL), the topic arose
regarding using hardline as elements in a "rope gun" configuration. Why not?
But what happens to an element's electrical/magnetic properties with the
center conductor still in there? Are there any adverse effects due to
induction? Let's say you let the center conductor extend from the aluminum
jacket end for suspension purposes.....
Maybe somebody has tried this before and is willing to share that information.
Thanks,
