As an occassional operator of BIG GUN stations
I find many times many stations call me who are=20
very weak - often there is a wall of stations calling
who are barely above the noise level - It is funny to hear
a station that is 339 give their ID once! Since they hear me
easily , they are confident that they can be heard easily!!!
Not necessarily so. On 40m winter Long Path into Europe ( from =
Colorado)
I dont hear this - mostly clean copy from stations using at least 500w
to some kind of GAIN antenna.

BIG GUN as in : 5 over 5 monoband stack on 20m
or / and 3 over 3 monoband on 40m

Josh N7XM in Colorado Rockies
