I attached a 10" wide copper strap -
really roof flashing - to my tower. I
had alread mounted a piece aluminum
angle stock to the bottom of the tower
to hold a weatherproof enclosure. I
clamped the flashing to the angle
stock with another piece of angle
stock. The flashing runs straight down
to the ground, and out about 10 feet
in a ditch.
The flashing was cheap at a junkyard.
