Hi Lee
The best thing I've ever used while RV'ing was a Hustler mobile
antenna.  I took a quarter wave piece of wire and hooked it to
the mast just below the resonator and threw the other end over a
tree limb or something.  It worked great and the SWR was way
down.  73
