Hi Fred. I am curious as to any negative impacts on bringing the gamma rod
in and out. I am shunt feeding my tower. I miss having the side mounted
lower beams. Wasn't sure the shunt feed would even work doing what you are
doing. Maybe there is hope yet

K1VR:  In my experience, for 160 m, lots of aluminum had two effects:

*       I had to bring the gamma rod in close to the tower, and out
again, in order to get past a TH6DXX on a swinging gate side-mount.

*       I had to put the tap up at 88' on a 100 foot tower.
