The R-7 and R-5 are/were great vertical antennas!  Why they brought out the
R-7000 is a mystery.

And neither will the R-7.  More than about 400W RTTY for any time at all
will physically damage the antenna.  The 1500 watt rating is PEP only.  Thus
other antennas (trapless!) are more desirable for heavy duty cycles,
especially with power.
