Do you know how to resolve static guy forces
into their horizontal and vertical components?

For the maximum wind speed in your area,
compute the load on the tower, the load in
the guy wire necessary to balance this
horizontal load, and compute the induced
vertical load on the tower. Make sure this
vertical load does not exceed the maximum
vertical load for R45 ( 23,850 lbs!). You will
need to be sure the load does not exceed
the rating on your guy wires as well. (6000 lb
for 1/4 inch, only 4000 lbs for 3/16 inch).

Guys can be placed closer than 80% if the
tower is well below the maximum rated height
(300 ft for R45) and the antenna load is small.

Place one vertical rail closest to the house,
run guys 30 degrees from the house in both
directions which will give you an anchor spacing
equal to twice the distance to your property line.
Run another guy across the house.
