I am faced with the task of rebuilding an old (20+ year?) Hy-Gain 40M 2
element beam with linear loading. Since the linear loading on this old beast
has decomposed it would be a major undertaking as I doubt that parts are
available.
Therefore, I am considering using the AL from the old beam and converting it
into a 40M X-beam as per the handbook. Has anyone ever modeled the X-beam?
Comments, criticisms? Experience with the X-beam? etc. would be appreciated
