In addition, there is what's known as "heavy" AB105 which is still 24" on a
side but has much heavier vertical rails and uses 3/8" bolts instead of
5/16". The last Trylon equivalent was 2400H . It's a great tower for your
full size stacked 40 and 80 meter yagi's! hi!

Good luck. AB-105 is surplused military guyed towers that were
typically
used to hold up an HF rhombic. I think the height was 70 feet per tower.
They
bolt together like a *big* Erector Set and arrived on-site in some big
boxes.
They are 24 inches across the face and weight about 110 pounds per 10'
section. It's a danged robust tower.
In the 60's and 70's, MILES of this stuff was surplused and the guys on
the East Coast bought most of it. W3LPL has lots of it as do many other
stations - me included.
It was manufactured by Trylon which is now in Canada. Their 2400 tower
is
the current equivalent. www.trylon.com might have it.
