For folks doing 402CDs there are at a minimum two mods you must do IMO (of
course the other known mods are FB too):
1) Take the traps apart and make sure you still have electrical contact between
the LCA assemblies and the rest of the elements. The screws rust out and the
rivits lossen. W6NL has pointed this out previously. Mine were all rusted
away and needed fixing. Unless it's really bad and the circuit is open you
can't tell how bad they are without cutting the black covering off the LCA.
2) Pin all the boom segments together and also the element mounting plates to
the boom. If you don't then the elements will rotate and you'll be bummed out.
