Thanks Tom... I thought I had been doing something wrong
all the years that I had ran ladder line to a single 80m dipole.
I use all coax fed antennas now. But back when we were
renting, and I couldn't put up a tower, 30 or 40ft of mast and
an 80m dipole fed with ladder line worked well. And the only
RFI problems I ever ran into were due to antennas that were
too close to the house, wheather it be coax fed, or fed with
ladder line. The only "hot shack" time I remember was trying
to run an end fed antenna in a temporary setup
