Hi, all concerned:

I sent this as a private post, and then thought it might be of wider
interest:

I'm 'doing' my yearly ground: I have a boatload of those foot-long
galvanized spikes, which I put in around the edges of my irregularly-shaped
lot. Then, I attach one end of around 6000' of #12 bare copper wire at the
tower base, and walk the spool out around the first spike, over to the next
one, and back to the tower, continue out to the next spike opposite,
'bow-tie' fashion, and so on until all the wire is laid in one piece.

Longest radial is around 100'; shortest, maybe 30'.

I take it up in May or June.

The mower is set at 3+ inches, and I've not ever broken a radial ;o)))

Dunno, dunwannano, duncare what the resistance is. It works for me in a
noisy suburban environment, where even a short Beverage rcvg antenna would
cover a dozen neighbors' yards.
