In building some outdoor structures recently, I got a copy of a really
interesting catalog. If you build stuff and are on the lookout for novel
ways of joining lumber or tieing it to foundations, etc. you need this
catalog. Good for at least an hour of thumbing through. These folks make
the joist hangars, angle brackets, etc that you find the pros using.
Simpson "Wood Construction Connectors" - should be available at the lumber
yard.
