How would someone come up with a "spare"
custom insulator for their HyGain antenna?

IF the antenna is good, they need the insulator.

IF they bought an insulator from HyGain THEY PAID
the shipping and handling charge. You expect them
to 'eat' the charge?

MAYBE if someone has an antenna that was completely totaled,
then they MIGHT have saved the insulators. (Would you?)

Bite the bullet, order the insulator(s), and pay the S & H.

Order some extra's. Then when someone else asks this
question on TT, you can send them your spares, less the
$5 S & H charge.

Oh, yes. Next time you put the antenna up, wrap the exposed
portion of the insulator with Scotch 33 Black Electrical Tape
to PREVENT uV damage.
