Thanks to everyone that replied about the Isotron.
The consensus was: Yes that it works for short distances, but poor for DX.
It is better than nothing and OK for apartment or condo hams. It should be
on a metal pole to radiate properly. The SWR bandwidth is very narrow. It
is basically a radiating L-C circuit.
