Copperweld will sproing into a snaggled mess 25 years from now if you
let it go, especially #12.
The answer for that stuff, which will stay up in the air forever, is
NEVER, EVER let it out from under tension. Always keep it stretched
and under control. Never let the wire on the spool go loose either.
Great stuff. AWFUL to unsnaggle.

Just a off-handed remark, but what would one of those torque wrenches

mechanics use for torqueing down engine heads do, The torque
measurement
should give an indication of the stress/stain given to match that
required.
