Sort of.
I only have 1 HF6V so AB comparisons weren't possible, but almost no one
heard me on 80 when it was ground mounted. It sat in the aluminum pile here
for several months when I resurrected it for use 40m. I have a steel fence
around my property and figured that it got most of the RF before the antenna
could so I mounted the HF6V and its radials (4 for each band) at 10 feet. On
a whim I added 4 80m radials to see if it would hear "anything". Works pretty
well now - I work some DX and all over the US and Canada.

73 and good luck with your antenna,
Don - K4BEV
