Allen Bond at Max Gain Systems in GA has fibreglass
rod and tube. He is VERY knowledgable about sizes
and strengths and very cordial in answering any questions
about his products. Many (most?) of the commercial
antenna guys use his fiberglass tubing for (center) insulators
and other applications. Fiberglass seems to be more
cost effective than other plastics such as Delrin, Plexiglass, etc.

His Website is: http://www.mgs4u.com/fiberg.htm
