        If you got 10 dBd (i.e. 12.15 dBi free space gain) on 20 meters 
using a 48 ft boom you made a mistake.  The best of these 45-55' boom
monobanders is 10.53 dBi, which is 8.38 dBd:

Using Yagi Optimizer, the best I can see is ~11 dBi on a 48' boom if
only Gain is optimized (zero weighting for F/B or SWR).  Just a 
reality check that your modeling is incorrect or you made a mistake 
in what you stated (dBd instead of dBi).
