Question to the experts. I read this from Gene:

and wondered:
Let's say I DO put my Polyphasers at the tower bases. My coax runs are
between 87 and 200 feet from there to the shack, above ground. Isn't there
a chance lightning energy can still get on the coax after the Polyphasers?
Is that why Gene went on to do the following:

Uh, what's a SPG plate? Wouldn't that still leave your radios exposed to
the energy? I have the chance to do this right, because I'm building
completely from scratch. If I can't afford to to it right, I can at least
afford to remember to disconnect everything all the time.
What about alternatives when you have something like 16 or more incoming
feedlines?
