Good evening gentlemen,

Are there any ex WWII radar fitters or, gun sight gurus out there....I
am
seeking information on a 2 inch Magslip transmitter AP 10682, and a 2 inch
Magslip receiver AP 6549, I believe these items were used in UK radar systems,
and possibly gun sight systems. I would like to know the operating voltage and
frequency used.......I want to couple them up, as an antenna direction
indicator system.

I got these items, on the surplus market, some 50 years ago, and they
appear to be of UK manufacture. I seem to recall that I was told that they
operated from 50 volts AC, 50hz....... recent experiments with 50 volts AC
does not produce the desired coupled shaft movement, in fact, any shaft
movement at all. All electrical and windings checks with an ohmmeter are
ok.......so, if anyone has further info, or, can point me at a possible source
of information, I would be most grateful.....sincerely, John. G3JVC.
