For light weight pulleys has anyone looked at ceramic rings?
My wife wanted a roll up awning on the front window (and bedroom window)
facing west. The awning is made out of metal oval tubes edge connected
(not end) that can roll (after a fashion) to form a large roll, above the
window, near to the soffit. The rope used goes through ceramic rings, not
pulleys) to change direction of pull of the rope. I have not seen any
available (but in this small town that is not surprising, I cannot find any
cold galvo or zinc rich paint unless it is expensive sprays for the
automotive body trade) For occasional use, say on a mast to pull up the
antenna wire, or even coax, these might be OK. No rust, no jamming, just
sliding,
